Mounam Pesugiradhu

Announcing the Grand(?) opening of my Tamil Blog –

Mounam Pesugiradhu…

I’m very happy to have started it :).
I suggest you read the introduction there before reading my kavidhais ;).
(All posts are put up as images so it won’t be that clear I’m afraid :). If anybody has a better idea to put up transliterated text, do tell me…)

The blog has been there for a couple of weeks but I was waiting to post my first kavidhai and then give the link here (but Sweet Lovely Cute Nice Little Suba Dearest (my No.1 Fan and Critic) somehow managed to see it even before I told her about this).

Have Fun!!!

Added later on: I didn’t realize this when I posted earlier… but this happens to be my post no.50 πŸ™‚

From my Heart

Continuing my topic drought, today I took the time to read through my own works (I don’t do that very often you see πŸ™‚ ) and put up a list of my personal favourites. Yes, I write each one with equal care, but there are some works that I really hold close to my heart…
(this post has been intentionally brought to the top to keep people from getting bored thinking I have nothing to write πŸ™‚ )

  • The Aim – This story, for me, reflects the whole purpose of life – what we should strive for above everything else. (It’s badly written towards the end, but I’m too lazy to sit and refine all that πŸ™‚ ).
  • The Tree and The Wind – A simple poem that says go where you get love, and not where you want it. (Well that was what I had in mind when I wrote it, it may mean different things to different people)
  • Care – Where do you look for God?
  • The Last Moment – I treasure this for reasons best known to those who know me.
  • My Quotes – Some little scribblings that I will treasure forever.
  • Realization – Do not let go of the happiness in life, however insignificant it may be
  • Final Destination – You can go higher and higher up in life… but it’s lonely at the top πŸ™‚

Do You Know What It Is…

… To see a tear in the eyes of someone you love?
… To do for someone, what you would not do for yourself?
… To bear just one more moment of pain, to see a smile in the face of a friend?
… To smile at someone, when they have been rude?
… To lay your head on the shoulder of a friend?
(will continue this list later πŸ™‚ )

Success

I see success
In every sunrise that I see

I see success
In every morsel that I eat

I see success
In every second love is shown to me

I see success
In every friendship that I create

I see success
In every smile that I see

I see success
In every tear that I wipe

I see success
In every breath that I take

I see success
In every moment that I live

The only time I am unsuccessful
Is when I forget to see success

Reaching for The Stars

I’m reaching for the stars
My hands stretched out…

A bird flies by
A beautiful work of nature
Then I hear a sad screech
And watch in horror
As the bird falls from the sky

My heart lets out a tear
For the poor creature
Then I realize it’s gone,
My tears don’t dry
But the reason is past

I’m reaching for the stars
My hands stretched out…
